Look for 进站口 (Entrance). The photographed sign shows Entrance 4, Level 2, West Side.

Follow the entrance signs and queue for the appropriate ticket and passenger category.

The entrance shown has signs for 实名验证 (Identity Verification) and 安全检查 (Security Check).

The pictured automated reader is marked for Chinese ID cards. Foreign passport holders should ask staff which staffed verification lane to use.

This screen shows an example of successful verification. Procedures vary by document type and station.

Hot-water dispensers may be available in the station. Be careful: the water can be extremely hot.

A luggage shop is pictured inside the station; shops and opening hours may vary.

Make sure your luggage is manageable and complies with current railway rules. Find your train and gate on the departure boards.
Carry the same valid passport or identity document used for your train reservation. Arrive early enough for security and identity checks, especially if staff need to verify your passport manually. Watch the departure board for your train number, boarding gate and boarding time. The photos do not show the full route from the waiting hall to the platform.
Some Chinese railway stations have vending machines for bottled drinks and snacks. Learn how to select a drink, scan a payment QR code, pay with WeChat Pay or Alipay, and collect your purchase.
